Trinity Lutheran Church has been a monumental staple in the Gresham Community for over 100 years. During that time, we developed community outreach programs such as the Zarephath Kitchen and Pantry and My Sisters’ House. The focus of these programs is to offer assistance to those in need.
Deteriorating Worship Building
The Trinity Lutheran building is again and the cost of repairs has gone beyond the ability of its members to cover. They are turning to their Gresham neighbors and asking for donations. They have already repaired the roof and the upstairs kitchen to the tune of nearly $100,000. They are still needing to do further updates and repairs which will include updated electric heating systems, carpet replacement, and repair of the steeple.
The Congregation is Growing
Trinity Lutheran Church is proud to announce that they have now added the Holy Cross Santa Cruz Episcopal congregation to their Church community. If you have the means to provide a cash donation to help in their Next Big Adventure, it would be appreciated.
Cinco De Mayo Event
They are hosting a Cinco de Mayo event celebration on May 3rd from 2p-5p. There will be food and entertainment for all ages. This will be a fundraiser as well as a fun event. The Trinity Congregation is hoping to sell 50 to 100 pinatas with prizes inside as well as a silent auction. Gresham Ford has donated four $25 gift certificates for the event. You might win them in the silent auction or even in a pinata. The gift certificates are good towards any service with the Gresham Ford Service Center or the Gresham Quick Lane.
Contribute to the Community Program
And remember, when you visit the Gresham Ford Service and Parts Center or the Gresham Quick Lane, we will donate 10% of your invoice (up to $100) to the charity of your choice. Just like Trinity Lutheran Church. When you purchase a vehicle we will donate $100 to the non-profit of your choice. The Contribute to the Community Program has been an outstanding avenue for us to learn about causes and charities that are most important to our customers and our neighbors.
