Many of you may have heard the story of Haley Lorenzen who went missing in late December and the tragedy that has engulfed that family. It’s every parent’s worst nightmare and it has greatly impacted our community. And now, the long road ahead for this family to find and bring their daughter home has not only been heart wrenching, but financially draining as well. So, as a community, there’s a few things we can do.
On March 23rd, there will be a Fund-Raising Spaghetti Dinner at St Henry’s Church, 395 NW First Ave, Gresham from 2pm-7pm. $10 per plate, $5 for children 10 and younger. There will be a silent auction and raffle baskets also. You can find the event on Facebook at: www.facebook.com/events/2195319790785412/.
There is a GoFundMe Campaign Page: https://www.gofundme.com/missing-person-haley-maree-lorenzen if you would like to donate online.
Funds may also be donated by going to any US Bank branch where an account has been set up: The Haley Lorenzen Benefit Fund.
We are fortunate to live in such an amazing, caring community. Just last week, 100+ Women Who Care East County got together and raised $10,500 for an incredible organization called, Boxes of Love. This organization partners with local children’s hospitals to provide children heading into foster care with a box filled with clothing and other basic needs. If you’d like to know more about Boxes of Love, please visit: www.boxesofloveproject.org. The next meeting for the 100+Women Who Care East County will be April 25th. If you’d like to join, please visit 100womenwhocareeastcounty.org to sign up or find them on Facebook, 100+ Women Who Care East County.
We are a community that cares, and we care deeply about Haley. Let’s help to light her way home….
