Every year, the Gresham Area Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center conducts a polling of the local business community for nominations for outstanding service exhibited throughout the year. This year, the Gresham Rotary joined in with some categories as well. To live and work in this amazing community is never more evident than when you hear about these incredible businesses not only providing products and services, but also jobs, supporting many of our local non-profit organizations and charities and fellow businesses and neighbors. The stories told about the award winners as presented by last year’s winners, were beyond incredible. We shared in amazement, laughter and even some tears as each one came forward to accept their award.
And this year’s Business Excellence Awards winners are; Small Business, Focus Brand Group, Jeff Anderson. Medium Business, Riverview Community Bank, Larry Schwartz. Large Business, ON Semiconductor, Tad Dierckes. Family Business, Powell Valley Assisted Living & Memory Care, Pam Arvidson. Try Local Champion, Gresham Grocery Outlet, Cory Price. Non-Profit, Greater Gresham Baptist Church-Pastor Keith Evans. Rising Star, Kayla Viramontes, The Bold Orange. Volunteer of the Year, Judy Han, Sunny Han’s Wok & Grill and Honoree Winner, Warner Allen of Warren Allen, LLP. The Gresham Rotary “Ethics In Business” winners are; Non-Profit-Birch Community Services, Small Business, Dogwood Pet Hospital and Large Business, Gresham Ford.
The Business Excellence Awards ceremony is the largest business recognition event in the East County and it all happens right here. It takes us all working together to make this such a successful community and we are honored to be considered among these great, amazing, locally minded, compassionate and progressive individuals and businesses.
