Attend a Spring Thing!

As the warmer weather and longer days bring a bounty of color and life, it’s also a time our local community kicks into gear with a vast array of awesome things to do.

For instance;  McMenamins presents, Edgefield History Night, sponsored by Troutdale Historical Society featuring “Cowgirls & Ranch Women”.  A look back into the mid 1800s when cowgirls first came on the scene during a time when women were expected to act ladylike and serve tea.  Tuesday, March 28th, 2017 at 6:30pm in the Blackberry Hall, 21226 SW Halsey St, Troutdale.  This is a free event open to all ages.  For more information: www.mcmenamins.com/history

Or, how about supporting local students at the Warner Pacific College at their annual President’s Scholarship Auction.  Now in its eighth year, the President’s Scholarship Auction is a unique opportunity for hundreds of community minded individuals to gather and support the needs of underserved and first generation college students who are pursuing their higher education goals.  Saturday, April 8th 2017, 10:30am-1:30pm at Warner Pacific College, 2219 SE 68th Ave, Portland.  For tickets and more information:  www.warnerpacific.edu/auction.

If you’re looking for an uplifting and motivational experience, the 11th Annual Portland Good Friday Breakfast  will feature former CEO and president of Papa Murphy’s International, Ken Calwell  sharing his story about his near-death experience into an amazing journey of restoration.  Presented by Open Arms International, this is one of the best events of the year you won’t want to miss.  Friday, April 14th, 2017 from 7am-8:45am at the Oregon Convention Center.  For tickets and more information: www.portlandgoodfridaybreakfast.org.
